The entrance from Racecourse Road

The Service: This will be held at St Augustine's Church in Hamilton at 4.00pm. Please be seated at around 3.45pm. The church is situated between two streets- Charlton Street leads to the front entrance of the church and Racecourse Road leads to the grounds which adjoin the church hall and the side entrances.
Renovations on the Church Tower: There is currently work going on in the church tower with scaffolding erected for the next three months on the Charlton Street side. This project currently looks like it may extend past our big day which may affect the front entrance. The side entrances will be as usual. We will keep you posted about the developments and let you know which is the best door to use closer to the time.
Parking: There is some parking in the small carpark on the Racecourse Road side and limited parking on Charlton Street and Windermere Road.
PhotographyOur event is an unplugged ceremony. Please put your phones away during the wedding service- there will be plenty of time for photos afterwards!
Music: Our service will have lots of music so we would love you to join the singing of the hymns (very loudly). Here are the two hymns for the service if you want to practice:
All Creatures of Our God and King
New English Hymnal 263
Words: St Francis of Assisi
Music: Lasst Uns Erfreuen, Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958)
All creatures of our God and King,
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam!
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou rushing wind that art so strong,
Ye clouds that sail in heav’n along,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou rising moon, in praise rejoice,
Ye lights of evening, find a voice!
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou flowing water, pure and clear,
Make music for thy Lord to hear,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou fire so masterful and bright,
That givest man both warmth and light.
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Let all things their Creator bless,
And worship Him in humbleness,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One!
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Guide Me Oh Thou Great Jehovah
by William Williams, pub.1745
tr. by Peter Williams, pub.1771
alt.
Guide me, O Thou great Jehovah,
Pilgrim through this barren land;
I am weak, but Thou art mighty,
Hold me with Thy pow’rful hand.
Bread of heaven, Bread of heaven,
Feed me me now and evermore;
Feed me me now and evermore.
Open now the crystal fountain,
Whence the healing stream doth flow;
Let the fire and cloudy pillar
Lead me all my journey through.
Strong Deliv’rer, strong Deliv’rer,
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield;
Be Thou still my Strength and Shield.
When I tread the verge of Jordan,
Bid my anxious fears subside;
Death of death and hell’s Destruction,
Land me safe on Canaan’s side.
Songs of praises, songs of praises,
I will ever give to Thee;
I will ever give to Thee.
